The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) is once again having its annual Art In Bloom exhibit. Green Thumbs will be presenting a flower arrangement interpretation of a Greek Basin with Wrestlers on the Rim from 500 BC, made of bronze, that was used in ritual washings for athletic competitions or celebrations. Several of Green Thumbs are planning to go to see the exhibit on Sunday afternoon, April 28; see related email for details on carpooling. Because this event is very popular, pre-ordering your tickets is recommended. We hope that you can attend!

The Garden Walk-Throughs are for all members to get oriented (or re-oriented) with the unique features of each garden prior to doing maintenance. Learn safety information and basic maintenance do’s and don’ts. Find out where the water and hoses are, and how to turn them on and off in each garden. While all members are encouraged to attend, it is especially important for new members to be there.  The Walk-Through will take about an hour and a half. Please try to attend one of these events.

The 2024 Plant Sale Committee has been working hard preparing for the up-coming Green Thumb Plant Sale. Proceeds from our Sale help keep our Village gardens looking good with beautiful plants all throughout the gardening season! Stop by and pick up some beautiful plants for your garden, bring a friend, spread the word. This is a wonderful opportunity for WCGT to engage with the community.
