Hello, everyone!!

Our last regular meeting of Green Thumbs will be held on TUESDAY EVENING. TONIGHT, September 18, at 7:30 p.m. at Concord Park. (NOT Monday afternoon as usual) We will be having Jane Rupley give a presentation entitled, “Putting Your Garden to Bed.”

We will begin promptly as we have much to discuss, some of which will include: review of maintenance this summer, hanging baskets report, fall plantings/garden clean-up, election of officers for 2013 and By-Law revisions. We want to be sure to allow time between Jane’s presentation and our business meeting for conversation and treats – then we’ll settle in for the business at hand, reviewing the most critical issues first.

By the way, we are looking for other members to volunteer to work with the basket committee – this could be YOU!! J Not a big job, but one with high visibility……..and SO MUCH FUN to choose color and type of flowers for our baskets to line Concord center! We have a few members on the committee now, but the more the merrier!! The FIRST meeting of the basket committee is this coming MONDAY, September 10, at 9:30 a.m. at Nashoba Bakery.  Over coffee and muffins we’ll work on exciting basket plans for next year!! Please call Helene Clayton if you can join us (on Monday or to be part of the committee) – 978-369-2183 or email her at

Early next week, I’ll be forwarding to you the proposed slate of officers for 2013 and the suggested By-Law revisions. This will give you time at your leisure to review them prior to the meeting so that our discussion can be expeditious and thoughtful.

Looking forward to seeing you all at Concord Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September, 18!!

Cheers, Darlene
