On Monday, October 15, at the Board of Selectmen meeting, the
Board will formally accept the donation of $5,000 from the Green Thumbs toward
the renovation of Junction Park. This gift is made possible not only by the
generous donations from businesses and residents in West Concord, but by the
huge fundraising efforts of the Green Thumbs. So, this is the
chance to enjoy the recognition.
The Board’s meeting begins at 7 PM and the acceptance will be
taken up first thing as part of the Consent agenda. It can be viewed on our
local TV channel 9.
And you also should know that it was because of this donations
that the Junction Park committee of the Green Thumbs was able to negotiate a
very significant improvement to the hardscape of the Park---making sure that the
curbing around the pathways is granite and not concrete. A huge
difference!
So a big pat on the shoulder to us all.
