Garden Clean Up Time!

It really is spring and that means time for cleaning up gardens and planting new ones.  We can offer you both experiences with the Green Thumbs!
First is the Clean up of Mandrioli Park and the Triangle at Main and Crest Streets. This should be quick work; but it will make a big difference. We are planning on this for Friday, April 15 at 10 AM, with a rain date of Saturday, April 16 also at 10.  Meet at Mandrioli Park and bring with you the following: your Green Thumb bags for advertising to let folks know who we are, and, on a more practical level some or all of the following: gloves, trowel or weeder, plastic trash bag, rake, clippers, broom. It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to complete everything.
Second is the planting of the entry way gardens at Fowler Library. You will remember that we had to remove our original gardens for the reconstruction.  We expect that these gardens will be permanent. We are planning for 10 AM on Thursday, May 12 with a rain date of Friday, May 13, also at 10 . The Grand opening of the Library is the next day so we have a deadline to meet. Again, please bring the items above with you plus planting shovel and trowel, kneeling pads, and metal rake for spreading mulch. This will be the icing on the cake for our new library!
Please let me know by April 10 if you will be able to participate in either of these events so we will have a head count. We really need your help!
Thank you,
Kathy Kobos
